Why? Well, I actually did like this comic, until I read the ending. It didn't resolve anything! What a letdown, man. That sucked.

Why? This is pure fanboy fantasy. The constant "I'm a nice guy, pretty girls don't like me", the pity-poor-me, I'm an idiot that got myself stuck in Japan plot. Totally irritating. Having dated several fanboys myself, I tend to find this particular variety to be really annoying. And here's a newsflash, boys: if you only pay attention to pretty girls, you aren't a nice guy!
